In these warmer months, how do you feed the outside cats without creating an ant infestation? Ants hate bay leaves. Tape a 'crown' of them on the snap-on lid of your resealable container. While outside, place the container on its own bay leaf festooned lid. Not an ant in sight. When you bring in food at night (to prevent raccoon invasion), the lid snaps back on to repel any inside cooties. Yes, I am the Jane Goodall of the cats :)
